Midwood appoints McInerney as new head of asset management

NEW YORK, NY Midwood Investment & Development has hired Dan McInerney as its new head of asset management. McInerney brings 15 years of real estate experience to his new position at Midwood. As head of asset management, McInerney will lead Midwood’s strategic effort to optimize the portfolio and drive market-leading results for each of its operating properties.

“Asset Management is s a critical component to the successful execution of our ongoing growth strategy,” said John Usdan, CEO of Midwood Investment & Development. 

“Dan has a wealth of experience in finance, construction, development, management and leasing. We’re excited to have him join the Midwood team and look forward to benefiting from his knowledge, experience, work ethic and passion for our business.”

McInerney comes to Midwood from Taconic Investment Partners, where he served as Senior Vice President. In his recent role at Taconic, McInerney was responsible for asset management, as well as construction and development projects, which included project management, design development, contract negotiations, portfolio strategy, marketing, leasing and sales.

Prior to joining Taconic in 2009, McInerney worked at Georgia Malone & Co., where he was responsible for underwriting and marketing residential and commercial assets with a focus on the New York market. From 2005 to 2007, McInerney was an Assistant Vice President at Related Capital, where he underwrote debt and equity transactions for multi-family properties throughout the United States.

McInerney began his real estate career in 2001 at Houlihan-Parnes. He holds a Master of Science in real estate from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in communication from the University of Scranton.
