George Melas has been named a senior vice president at Syska Hennessy Group, Inc., a global leader in consulting, engineering, technology and construction.
In his new position, Melas will lead business development, marketing and communications teams for the firm's U.S. operations and will be responsible for expanding opportunities internationally. Syska Hennessy established an office in Shanghai, China in 2008.
Melas has over 25 years of AEC industry and business development experience.  A registered architect in Texas, Georgia and Florida, he is a LEED accredited professional, a building security certified professional and a member of the American Institute of Architects. He earned an M.B.A. from The Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas; a master of science degree in Architecture from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom; and a Diploma of Architecture from the Ecole Speciale d'Architecture in Paris, France.
