Meet the USGBC Members: Schelin and Vitori

Scott Schelin, C.E.M., LEED AP vice president of Advanced Control Solutions has over 28 years experience in the HVAC and controls systems industry. Schelin specializes in the energy management and verification area of this industry. He has managed the design and implementation of systems in millions of s/f of commercial, industrial, institutional and health care projects. He is a C.E.M. Certified Energy Manager and a LEED accredited professional, a member of BOMA-LI and the Building Commissioning Association, and an active member of the LI Chapter of the USGBC. Dr. Ron Vitori, MD, LEED AP is a founding member, director and past chair of USGBC-Long Island. He helped formed the Green Peak Group to provide realistic turn key sustainable solutions to the commercial sector and has spent the last 12 years as VP of Axis Construction Corp. As a contributor to the 2006 AIA's Healthcare Facility Construction Guidelines he helped introduce LEED standards into medical construction guidelines. He holds degrees in engineering, medicine and a post-doctoral fellowship in neuroscience research and sits on the board of directors or advisory board of the following USGBC-Long Island, LI Green Institutes, New York Apollo Alliance, Green Mechanical Council, Long Island Healthcare Life Safety Association.
