Meet the LICN Members: Hendrickson and Rivera

Alan Hendrickson, licensed broker associate, has over 30 years of real estate experience, including those in corporate banking and private industry. He has an undergraduate degree in Economics and has taken many specialized courses in finance, real estate and marketing. Hendrickson has particular expertise in property valuation. He a member of CIBS and is president of LICN. Hendrickson is also treasurer of the Metro Chapter of New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR). He is chairman of the joint audit committee for LIBOR and MLS and is a member of their budget committee. He was named as commercial Realtor of the year for LICN, the commercial division of the Long Island Board of Realtors (LIBOR).Sherry Rivera is the president of Envirron located in Rockville Centre. In the last several years, she has focused on diversified facilities management solutions and environmental concerns for businesses, and building owners and operators. This includes industrial, commercial, office, multifamily, hospitals and healthcare facilities. Rivera is a LEED green associate and licensed real estate sales agent. She realized a few years ago that it would be wonderful to be able to show companies how to reduce their operating costs while improving their efficiencies and use of natural resources. They can also improve the indoor environment so that its occupants suffer less from illness. It is a great way to improve attendance and avoid lawsuits as well over health issues. Bringing solutions that are a win win for all as they save money while contributing to a companies interest in sustainability and improving their image with employees and the world at large is what she believes makes her part of the solution to a variety of problems.
