Meet the LICN Member: Howard Kaminowitz

Howard Kaminowitz started in real estate in 1997 after owning his own retail business for 18 years. While some agents are generalists Kaminowitz specializes in tax exempt properties-houses of worship. Kaminowitz accidentally stumbled onto this specialty several years ago. The length of time it takes to close such a transaction is one of the major differences from a traditional real estate transaction. Kaminowitz needs to deal with the congregation, the attorney general and the state to make these transactions work. His clients really appreciate the kind of specific experience that he brings to the situation. In the past 3 years he has been involved in over 20 buy/sell/merge side transactions worth over $20 million. Kaminowitz has learned that patience is more than a virtue with these deals, it's a necessity.
