Meet the ICSC Member: Sandeep Mathrani

Sandeep Mathrani is CEO of General Growth Properties, the country's second largest shopping mall owner/developer and real estate investment trust (REIT). Prior to GGP, Mathrani was president of retail for Vornado Realty Trust, one of the largest REITs in the country, with a total capitalization of more than $31 billion. At Vornado, Mathrani oversaw U.S. retail real estate and its India operations. Prior to Vornado, he spent eight years with Forest City Ratner, where he was executive vice president, responsible for their retail development and leasing in the New York City metropolitan area. Mathrani is a real estate industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience and holds a Master of Engineering, Master of Management Science and Bachelor of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
