Meet the BMAR Member - Diamond

David Diamond is the president & CEO of Rosenberg-Diamond Development Corp. Together with his partner of more than 30 years, Robert Rosenberg, they have built a portfolio consisting of several thousand multiple dwelling units throughout the Bronx and Westchester County, as well as a half a million s/f of commercial warehouse/industrial space along the Palmetto Expressway in Miami, Fla. More recently, they have ventured to expand their portfolio to include land in North Carolina. Rosenberg-Diamond owns, operates and maintains all of their properties utilizing in house managing agents, attorneys, fiscal managers, Section 8 and tenant relations specialists, as well as an army of plumbers, painters and carpenters. Rosenberg-Diamond supports the local economy by utilizing locally based suppliers for most of their building, office and computer supplies. Besides supporting local business, Diamond is the vice-chairman emeritus of Mercy College and a vice president of CHIP as well as a member of other housing industry related organizations. "Dr. Dave" is a captain in the Roslyn Highlands Fire Dept. (LI), overseeing the Emergency Medical Services division of the Roslyn Fire Department serving nearly 100,000 people. He is also an interior "class A" structural firefighter. Diamond is also the commander of NY-2 DMAT (Disaster Medical Assistance Team) for the US Federal Government leading a team of more than 200 trauma surgeons, ER doctors and nurses, Pharmacists, Paramedics and EMTs and a multitude of logistical support personnel to disaster sites throughout the Continental Unites States and it Territories. Also on the home front, David is the roads commissioner and a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Village of East Hills. He is married to Susan and lives in East Hills. Together they have two daughters: Erin Diamond of New York City, and Damien who is married to Dr. Joseph Cole, MD of Armonk who together have their three grandchildren, Harrison aged 7, Emily aged 6 and Zach aged 4.
