McFarland brings a diversity of experience designing a variety of building types across a broad range of market sectors, including multifamily residential, higher education, commercial development and religious institutions.
Prior to joining VOA, he was an associate principal at Cetra Ruddy, with whom he completed a number of residential developments for clients such as JDS Development, Property Markets Group, Extell Development, Equity Residential, Garden Homes, The Patrinely Group and Stahl Real Estate.
In addition to his work in the residential sector, he brings an impressive portfolio of higher education projects with such esteemed colleges and universities as Princeton, Vassar, West Point, SUNY Binghamton and Columbia University Teachers College.
