Mc Gowan Builders donates $15,000 to St. Joseph's

Mc Gowan Builders, Inc. (MGB) donated $15,000 to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital (SJCH), a specialized state designated children's hospital. The ceremony took place at SJCH's main campus. MGB president Patrick Mc Gowan, MGB VP Martin Mc Gowan, and Patrick Mc Gowan's daughters Niamh, Emma, and Sarah presented the donation to the hospital's Chairman, Dr. Michael Lamacchia. MGB made the donation in lieu of holding a 2009 holiday reception. The firm's employees and management recognized the increased need for funding of healthcare services for children due to the recession's negative impact on grants for charitable causes. They decided to cancel last year's holiday celebrations and instead use the funds to support one of the tri-state programs focused on children's services. Upon reviewing recipients, the MGB team selected St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. During the event, Patrick Mc Gowan said, "We are proud to support the outstanding acute medical care St. Joseph's Children's Hospital provides to children in New Jersey and across the nation. Our family and organization recognizes the importance of providing the best medical care available to all children and encourages other corporations and donors to support St. Joseph's cutting-edge children's programs." Accepting the funds, Dr. Lamacchia thanked the donors: "St. Joseph's Children's Hospital is committed to providing quality healthcare to all pediatric patients. We greatly appreciate the generous donation of Mc Gowan Builders. The donated funds will be used to assist our critical care areas such as the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, where they will benefit many needy patients and families. We are grateful to the Mc Gowan Builders' management and personnel for this wonderful gift that shines the light on our exceptional doctors, nurses, and staff." Martin Mc Gowan said, "The Mc Gowan family and the Mc Gowan Builders team are committed to supporting organizations that improve the quality of life of children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities. Through both individual donations and The Loretta Mc Gowan Foundation, we support a variety of organizations, such as St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, the Essex County, N.J.-based Candle Lighters, and Sisters of La Sagesse Services Cregg House in Sligo, Ireland."

For the past several years, the New York City multifamily housing market has been defined by disruption. The combined impact of the HSTPA rent laws and a sharply higher interest rate environment has fundamentally reduced

The death of the generic offering memorandum: What buyers expect in 2025 - by Kimberly Zar Bloorian

There was a time when an offering memorandum (OM) was pretty bare bones, some photos, a few bullet points on income, and a rent roll thrown in at the back. That used to get the job done. Not anymore. In 2025, buyers are sharper, faster, and more selective. They’re looking

New York tri-state multifamily investors are increasingly reallocating capital to less-regulated markets across the U.S. as rent control and legislative risk erode returns at home. With over 60% of New York City’s rental housing stock classified as rent-stabilized, the traditional value-add model — buying under-performing buildings,
