Markman and Cirone of Cushman & Wakefield represent MakerBot in 31,250 s/f at One MetroTech Center
According to Cushman & Wakefield, MakerBot Industries, a startup company that produces 3D printers, has signed a long-term lease at One MetroTech Center, which will now be the company's corporate headquarters location.
MakerBot, which was founded in 2009, will keep its current offices at 87 Third Ave. in Boerum Hill for manufacturing purposes and relocate to the entire 21st floor of One MetroTech, where the company will occupy 31,250 s/f.
Cushman & Wakefield, led by Glenn Markman and Joseph Cirone represented MakerBot. Keith Caggiano of CBRE represented the landlord, Forest City Ratner Cos.
"This is a win-win - a milestone for MakerBot and a rebirth for MetroTech as a welcoming home for the burgeoning tech community in Downtown Brooklyn," said Glenn Markman, a Cushman & Wakefield executive vice resident.

One MetroTech is located near the Brooklyn Bridge and accessible by several subway lines.
MakerBot was founded by Bre Pettis, Adam Mayer, and Zach Smith producing an open source 3D printer to democratize manufacturing.
