Manhattan, NY Manhattan Skyline Management Corp., brokered a new long-term retail lease with Shiki Omakase at 71 W. Houston St.
A new venture led by chefs En Lin and Jackie Zheng, Shiki Omakase specializes in the popular form of Japanese fare where each diner leaves it up to the chef to choose the meal’s ingredients and curated menu of specialty dishes. Named for the Japanese translation of “four seasons,” the newly-opened restaurant occupies a 500 s/f space accented by 13-ft. ceilings and 25 ft. of frontage on the SoHo side of West Houston St.

Located just steps from Greenwich Village, NYU and Washington Square Park, 71 W. Houston is situated within one of the New York City’s most sophisticated neighborhoods. This agreement with Shiki Omakase closely follows a deal with Elvis + Elvin, a luxury beauty brand that opened its flagship location next door at Manhattan Skyline’s 73 W. Houston Street just last year.
The new deal builds on portfolio-wide retail leasing momentum for Manhattan Skyline and further activates this important stretch of Houston St., located between West Broadway and the classically-cobblestoned Wooster St. In addition to its retail holdings, Manhattan Skyline owns and operates a number of premier residential buildings in the area, including 55 Thompson, Soho Court, Sullivan Mews and The Villager.
71 W. Houston sits between several major subway lines as well as some of the most desirable shopping and dining destinations in the city including neighboring tenants Dos Caminos, Modern Acupuncture, Starbucks, Thomas Taft Salon, Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream, Sadelle’s, Van Leeuwen and Bulthaup.
