Manditch of Empire National Bank honored by AHRC Suffolk

Douglas Manditch, chairman and chief executive officer of Empire National Bank, a full service commercial bank, was recently honored by AHRC Suffolk at its 48th annual Candlelight Ball. AHRC Suffolk's executive director Joseph Mammolito said Manditch was instrumental in the success of this year's Candlelight Ball. "The more than $464,000 we raised will go towards improving the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Manditch was aware of how important it was to raise funds for the 2008 gala. He knew that, due to the current economic climate, proposed government budget cuts would have a significant impact on our organization. The support we received reflects Manditch's prominence as a highly respected member of Long Island's business and philanthropic communities." "My good friend, and this year's Candlelight Ball Steering Committee Chairman, John Danzi often told me of the 'tug at your heartstrings' feeling he gets when he visits an AHRC facility. After a tour, that can only be described as a life-altering experience, I made the commitment to do whatever I could to support such a worthy cause," said Manditch.
