Maddox hired as residential specialist at Giscombe
According to Eugene Giscombe, president and founder of Giscombe Realty Group LLC, Yvonne Maddox has been hired as a residential specialist in charge of the commercial real estate company's new residential division.
"Ms. Maddox is well known and respected in the Harlem community," said Giscombe. "Her reputation, market knowledge and tenacity will add a new dimension to our firm."
Since 2005, Maddox worked as residential broker for Sotheby's International, Halstead Properties and most recently with Prudential Douglas Elliman where she specialized in the sale of brownstones and townhouses mainly in Harlem. Maddox started in real estate in l997 and later opened a Harlem real estate firm for the Charles H. Greenthal Co. in l999 and managed it until the company was sold in 2004. She also worked for the Clayman Group and for the Greenthal Co. in their mid-Manhattan offices.
Before going into real estate Maddox was a successful businesswoman who owned and managed three international medical communications/public relations firms in Manhattan over twenty years. They included World Health Info Services, Inc., I.C.M. (International Communications in Medicine, Inc.) and Universal Symposia & Travel, Inc.
Maddox, who lives in Harlem, is also active in the National Trust for Historical Preservation and does volunteer work at the American Legion Post #398 in Harlem. She is an active member of the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce and is listed in Who's Who in American Women, Who's Who in the East and World, Who's Who in Women.
