Long Island Appraisal Institute chapter members earn AI designations

Mineola, NY Members of the Long Island chapter of the Appraisal Institute have earned  AI designations.  

The appraisers include: Kathy Leitman, SRA; Matthew Sielken, SRA; Arthur-Peter Montauredes, MAI, AI-GRS; and Tiana Ramalanjoana, MAI, AI-GRS.

They join the ranks of a group of real property appraisers. This group of designated appraisers has successfully earned the status of the Appraisal Institute’s SRA, MAI, AI-GRS or AI-RRS designations, through a combination of the requirements of work experience, ethics, and successful completion of an education program.

The Long Island Chapter of the Appraisal Institute is a leader in real estate appraisal education, publishing, research, and professional membership designation programs on Long Island. The Appraisal Institute encourages members to go beyond the minimum requirements of state licensing and certification by participating in these programs. The organization is committed to advancing the appraisal profession and improving the level of appraisal services by providing the skills required to complete increasingly complex appraisal assignments. The majority of Appraisal Institute professionals are practicing real estate appraisers and property analysts, who provide valuation-related services to such clients as mortgage lenders, financial institutions, government agencies, attorneys and financial planners as well as homeowners and other individual consumers. Appraisal Institute designated members have met rigorous requirements relating to education, testing, experience and demonstration of knowledge, understanding and ability. Those individuals holding the Appraisal Institute’s MAI and SRPA designations are experienced in commercial valuation, including industrial, retail and multifamily properties. Those holding the SRA designation are experienced in residential valuation. All Appraisal Institute professionals adhere to a strictly enforced Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
