Crystal Window & Door

Flushing, NY According to national manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems, another company executive has received industry recognition. Sabrina Leung, manager of architectural sales and R&D, is featured in US Glass Magazine’s October issue in its article highlighting top Women in the Glass Industry.  Leung is one of 24 senior managers recognized by this leading national industry publication for making their mark in a traditionally male-dominated business.

“Sabrina is a tremendous asset to Crystal,” said Steve Chen, Crystal COO. “Her insights and leadership have driven Crystal to become an innovative, customer-focused manufacturer. It’s no surprise that her accomplishments have been recognized by the industry.”

In addition to architectural sales, Leung also directs the company’s R&D/engineering department in developing new products and product features. This team of expert engineers also prepares construction and installation shop drawings, and custom accessories and prototype profiles with 3-D printer modeling.

Leung joined Crystal in 2004.  “Crystal has always provided opportunities for me to take on new challenges and grow,” said Ms. Leung.  “I started as a sales representative out of college, learning all I could about Crystal’s product line.  Now I oversee entire teams of experienced R&D engineers, architectural sales professionals, and customer support staff, developing new vinyl and aluminum window products and handling multi-million dollar projects.”

“Crystal supplies some very complex projects that are not simple cookie-cutter designs,” said Leung.  “More and more engineering and custom design work is involved for new construction, total rehab, and historic property window projects.  Our sales and engineering teams work very effectively together for our customers.”

With influence on the company extending beyond her department, Leung is a member of Crystal’s executive management team which meets weekly on the company’s strategic plans.  She works closely with the production team to bring new products from drawing board to fabrication.

Leung has been recognized by the Queens Courier, one of the largest media outlets for the New York City borough of Queens, with its Top Women in Business award.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University, a Master’s Degree in Risk Management from St. John’s University and she has completed several professional courses in business and management.

Most people think of St. Patrick’s Day as a fun footnote on the calendar. In construction logistics, however, it’s a full-scale operational variable — especially if your work touches major metro areas with major parades and, let’s call it what it is, enthusiastic celebrants.
