Legacy Builders continues work on Manhattan View at MiMA; Co-developed by SCG American and Kuafu Properties

Manhattan, NY According to Legacy Builders, work is underway at Manhattan View at MiMA, a condominium co-developed by SCG America and Kuafu Properties that comprises the top 13 floors of the 63-story MiMA development. The residences are accessible via a private lobby at 460 West 42nd St. Manhattan View offers river-to-river views and 44,000 s/f of exclusive resident amenities.

Co-developers SCG America and Kuafu Properties hired SCG America Construction as their construction managers, along with interior designer Jamie Drake of Drake/Anderson to re-envision the pinnacle of the tower and create an exclusive collection of 151 condominium residences that evoke a sense of contemporary glamour. SCG America Construction subcontracted Legacy Builders to bring this vision to life. Ranging from studio to three-bedrooms, Legacy Builders provided contemporary finishes, including wide plank brushed oak wood floors throughout and double-glazed floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a full panorama of the city’s skyline, the Hudson River and beyond. Kitchens feature high-gloss lacquer cabinetry, polished white Carrara marble waterfall-edge countertops and backsplashes and Gaggenau appliances. The master bathrooms were fitted with white Carrara marble floors, grey lacquer vanities with stainless-steel legs and Calacatta marble tops, along with soaking tubs enclosed in stone in select residences.

“Each and every residence has its own uniquely stunning view and my design for the interiors celebrates that,” said Jamie Drake. “I was inspired by the continually exhilarating effervescent spirit of the great city I call home and love so much. With icons of the skyline sparkling and glittering outside every window, I wanted to bring that same excitement and elegance inside.”

The private lobby will create the ultimate luxury experience of living at Manhattan View with a 24-hour doorperson and a dedicated concierge available to assist with every personal need. White glove á la carte services will include valet parking, housekeeping and dry cleaning. The lobby design will feature an opulent mix of materials, including a reception desk clad in strips of artist-made mirrored glass, glossy mahogany panels and a floating gilded ceiling in the corridor. The onsite M Club will enhance daily living, offering one of the largest residential amenity packages in Manhattan including a private residents-only fitness center by Equinox with a heated indoor lap pool and full-size basketball court, outdoor terraces and catering kitchen, outdoor and indoor screening rooms, and a Mac Bar equipped with iMac computers. There will also be a club room and residents’ lounge with a fireplace, a fully-equipped game room, a children’s playroom and Dog City pet care facility. MiMA is also the home to a Frank Gehry-designed theatre and YOTEL New York.

“This was a great collaboration in bringing the vision and design of celebrated designer Jamie Drake to life,” said John Bennardo, president & CEO of Legacy Builders. “We are privileged to have been selected to complete this ultra-luxury project for such a prestigious and renowned building.”
