Also, Daniel Hollander, a 20-year real estate veteran, has been named president of L&L Residential, a newly formed division of the company. In his new post, Wasserberger, who most recently served as a senior partner in the Agency Group at CBRE, will focus on leasing and interfacing with L&L's Asset Management division headed by Bill Potts and Howard Slavin. "We are delighted that one of our industry's most respected professionals has agreed to join our firm," said L&L principal Robert Lapidus. "We're confident that Simon's expertise and broad experience will be a valuable asset as we continue to grow." "Dan's background, experience and extraordinary record of achievement is ideally suited to successfully launching our new division," said L&L president Robert Lapidus. He said that L&L Residential also expects to be active in condominium development, conversions and note purchases. In addition to his development activities, Hollander also served as director of finance for Clarett Capital, LLC, the company's partnership with Prudential Real Estate Investors, and raised over $600 million in debt and equity investments in Clarett projects from third-party sources including construction lenders, union pension funds and private equity firms. Last year, after leaving Clarett, he formed his own development/investment firm focused on distressed projects in the city. Hollander also has an extensive background in affordable and publicly subsidized development.
