Kinsley and Sherwood break ground on four-building Fieldside Commons
Kinsley Properties and Sherwood Partners, LLC have broken ground on Fieldside Commons. Fieldside Commons encompasses 24 acres and will consist of four, four-story, class A office buildings totaling 500,000 s/f. The first building (120,000 s/f) is expected to deliver January of 2012.
Fieldside Commons is being developed to satisfy growth generated by the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Initiative in Harford County.
BRAC is the process the Department of Defense (DoD) used to reorganize its base structure to increase efficiency. This reorganization is adding thousands of new jobs and infrastructure to APG and surrounding area.
Joseph Credit of Sherwood Partners, LLC said, "I am delighted to be working with the Kinsley team. We are collaborating on the development of Fieldside Commons to provide a superior office development, adjacent to the interchange of Interstate 95 and Maryland Rte.22. The buildings will be beautiful. But more importantly, they have been designed to meet the needs of today's tenants, including a LEED Silver designation. The site provides convenient access to APG, residential communities and popular area amenities including the nationally renowned Ripken Stadium that is right next door."
The owners have selected Cassidy Turley to lease the project. "Fieldside Commons is being developed by two quality developers who are very familiar with Harford County. We are excited to work with them on this project," said David Gillece, regional managing principal of Cassidy Turley. "Within the last 18 months, approximately 700,000 s/f have been developed along Rte. 40 from Aberdeen to Edgewood. As the market develops, we believe those central locations in Harford County, adjacent to
I-95, will become the preferred sites."
Doug Brinkley, Lizzy Sweeney and John Schulze of Cassidy Turley in Baltimore and Doug Twyman of Cassidy Turley in New Jersey will directly represent Fieldside Commons in this assignment.
