Kemper System America introduces Kemperol 1K-LF Flashing system

West Seneca, NY Kemper System America, Inc. introduces Kemperol 1K-LF Flashing, designed for quick, durable roof repairs. Kemperol is a solvent-free, low-odor system that adheres to substrates without a primer, and is fully reinforced for more durable waterproofing protection.

The single-component, silane-based waterproofing can be applied at temperatures above 41°F, even in humid conditions. The liquid flashing fully adheres to roofing materials including most single-ply membrane roofing systems. The reinforced flashing system is rainfast in about two hours and walkable after about 16 hours. Any unused resin can be stored for later use.

“Contractors need a versatile, easy-to-use roof repair product that delivers high value for customers,” said Andreas Wiggenhagen, president of Kemper System America said, “Because leaks can occur long before a roof replacement is required, repairs with Kemperol 1K-LF Flashing can help building managers delay a major capital investment while reducing the headaches of tenant complaints.”

Kemperol 1K-LF Flashing is ideal for a variety of common roof leaks such as around skylights, gutters and drains, pipes and other roof penetrations, as well as at corners, and along seams in sheet products. It can also be used for balcony repair and retrofit projects.

The UV-stable Kemperol 1K-LF waterproofing resin can be applied by brush or roller. A special Kemperol fleece reinforcement is then embedded into the wet resin and coated with more resin to form a seamless membrane, particularly around complex details. The fleece-reinforced flashing system can also bridge small cracks and remains permanently elastic so it can compensate for building movements.

For over 60 years, Kemper System is the global industry leader in cold liquid-applied, reinforced roofing and waterproofing, having invented the technology and holding the first patents. The company offers a full range of building envelope solutions to protect against weather, preserve the integrity of surfaces, and enhance the energy savings, comfort and value of buildings. This encompasses Wall Guardian fibered acrylic air barrier, Roof Guardian elastomer-based roof coatings, GreatSeal construction sealants, and HeatBloc-ULTRATM radiant heat barrier. Other high-value brands include COELAN traffic coating systems, and the company flagship for exterior and interior waterproofing, Kemperol reinforced membrane systems.
