Apex, NC Sweetwater Town Center, a joint project between The Kalikow Group, a fourth-generation, New York development and management firm based in Westbury, NY, and Experience One Homes located in Cary, NC, welcomed Lightbridge Academy Child Care Center to its new home with a ribbon cutting ceremony earlier this week.
The Lightbridge Academy facility is the first building to be constructed in the multi-use complex and is located in the town center of the community. Retail Strategies, a Raleigh-based commercial real estate company, is serving as the project sales and leasing team member.
“We are so thankful to the construction team for working so diligently in building our new home and we’re excited to be a part of the Sweetwater community,” said Rebecca Grovenstein, co-owner of the new Lightbridge Academy of Apex. “We are looking forward to serving families from Pittsboro, New Hill, Apex, and surrounding areas. We are enrolling Infants, Toddlers, Preschool, and Pre-K programs quickly and we look forward to showing you the Lightbridge Academy difference.”
The new Lightbridge Academy location is an 11,200 s/f facility with adjacent 5,000 s/f of playground space. Operated by husband-wife team Rebecca and Brian Grovestein, the center will offer lessons in music and sign language in addition to regular childcare services.”
“This is a wonderful milestone in the growth of Sweetwater Town Center,” said Greg Kalikow, vice president at Kalikow Group. “We are extremely proud of the team that is bringing this thoughtful combination of residential, office commercial and mixed-use buildings to fruition, creating a neighborhood for families and young professionals that will be the envy of the North Carolina real estate market and somewhere everyone will want to live, work and play.”
Sweetwater is planned as a fully developed, new construction community, combining residential apartments, commercial and an office building around a new town center including proposed grocery, banking, restaurants and a medical clinic. Ten landscaped “pocket parks” and a 4,200 s/f community center with health club and pool complete the amenities for all Sweetwater residents. Sweetwater is recognized as one of the most desirable places to live in the nation.
Sweetwater will also offer seven different styles of homes, ranging from 2,000 s/f to 4,500 s/f.
