John Gallin and Son to manage 145,000 s/f Foot Locker build out

New York, NY Foot Locker has chosen John Gallin and Son to join its office relocation team. The firm will be managing the build-out of Foot Locker’s new 145,000 s/f headquarters in the Vornado building, located at 330 West 34th St. Gallin will join a team comprised of Gardiner and Theobald, Ted Moudis Architects, RDA Engineering, Cerami Associates, Severud, Archetype, and Lighting Design Collaborative. Together, they will look to build an eclectic, uniquely designed space that will include acoustic spray ceilings, a three-floor interconnecting staircase, polished concrete floors and an open floor plan. Though only a two-block move from Foot Locker’s current location at 112 West 34th St., the move represents a dramatic change in size and style. “It was an extremely tight, competitive bid project,” said Michael Gallin, principal at John Gallin and Son. “But ultimately Foot Locker felt most comfortable about our team, the schedule we submitted, and our understanding of the project. We’re ready to impress another new member of the Gallin family.” Foot Locker comes on the heels of several high-profile projects for Gallin. The 130-year-old firm has recently built office spaces for Spotify, Havas Worldwide, and Warner Music Group.
