January 2023 Commercial Real Estate Guide, Elevator Services: Champion Elevator Corp.

Champion services just shy of 6,000 elevators every month and has just completed one of the worlds largest elevator modernizations which consisted of 179 elevators. The project was completed 4 months early and right within the $50m +/- budget. Champion’s New York expansion has been very successful for property owners and managers as Champion provides them with the services as an alternative to the OEM companies.

In Manhattan on January 12, 2023, Champion was very proudly presented “The Best Commercial Elevator Contractor Award NYC” by Red Connect which is an organization of real estate professionals. Champion also won the 2020 Elevator World Ellies Award for “Best Family-Owned Company” in the United States and in 2022 won the “Best Contractor East Coast award.” Furthermore, president Donald Gelestino, in 2021 was awarded the “William C. Sturgeon” award presented by The National Association of Elevator Contractors which is the most prestigious award in the elevator industry nationally!

Champion Elevator president and CEO Donald Gelestino has over 35 years in the elevator business and believes in real-time transparent communication with the customer and providing the correct maintenance to all elevators serviced under the Champion brand. Gelestino said, “ Our New York operation process and procedures are being implemented by the very best in the business, and our team currently opened a new branch in Nyack to better service our Sullivan, Orange, Rockland, and Westchester clients. Customer care is at the top of our priorities” .

No elevator is too big or small for Champion! “We service private residential elevators and go as high as 50+ floors in class A commercial buildings,” said Robert Monforte, president of maintenance operations at Champion.

Champion has some of the best troubleshooters in the industry and safety training second to none. Vice president Joseph Corrado works hand in hand with segment leaders to help maintain consistent positive results for the company and clients.
