Jamestown Properties and SDC Procida resume construction

Jamestown Properties and SDS Procida have resumed construction at Be@Schermerhorn, located at 189 Schermerhorn St. Sales at the 246-unit condominium are expected to begin in the spring. "We have painters, plumbers, electricians and contractors from multiple trades working together on site and are thrilled by the progress we are seeing," said Mario Procida, president of SDS Procida. "Everyone involved is excited to be back at work and looking forward to finishing the quality product we started two years ago." Currently, 189 Schermerhorn Street is approximately 92% completed, including most of the building's residences, common areas, indoor and outdoor amenity spaces and the on-site parking facility. "The return of construction jobs to Be@Schermerhorn comes just in time for the holiday season, and we look forward to the project's completion and to welcoming its new residents to Schermerhorn Street and our vibrant and exciting Downtown," said Brooklyn Borough president Marty Markowitz. In addition, six new model residences are being completed on the building's 16th floor, which will allow potential buyers to see each line available in the building. "It is more important than ever for real estate properties to offer consumers great value and a wonderful style of living," said Aaron Lemma of Corcoran. "189 Schermerhorn Street is one of the best residential properties in Downtown Brooklyn offering buyers extraordinary residences, a commitment to building quality, wonderful amenities, and a superb location near to major public transportation routes, restaurants and shopping." When completed, 189 Schermerhorn Street will consist of 246-unit studio, one, and two-bedroom residences ranging in size from 441 to 1,037 s/f.
