Israel Berger & Assoc. consults on major project

According to Israel Berger, president and chief executive officer of Israel Berger & Associates (IBA), the firm has been retained to provide consulting services on several significant building projects in New York City. The firm has been hired as exterior wall consultants at the planned Manhattanville campus for Columbia University, where four new buildings are part of the initial phase and are scheduled for completion by 2015. All are being designed by the office of Renzo Piano Building Workshop of Paris, France, with Davis Brody Bond Aedas acting as executive architects . The building farthest into design is the Jerome L. Greene Science Center: Mind-Brain Behavior, which is in schematic design now. IBA has also been retained to consult on a second large project at Queens West, where Rockrose Development is developing a new residential community on 22 acres. Called East Coast at Long Island City, four new buildings define the scope of work, which will include a close association with Arquetectonia, the design architects, on the first 32-story residential building.
