Islip Castle to be auctioned in May

Czech Castle constructed circa 1871 (formerly known as "Nico's at the Gatsby Restaurant") to be sold at auction. Located along Montauk Hwy., the former "Nico's/Gatsby Restaurant" will be made available to the highest bidder in an auction to be held in May. Situated on a 2.3 acre site at 712 Montauk Hwy. (a/k/a Main Street), the castle dates back 140 years and was reportedly constructed by a wealthy American for his Czech mistress. Historical details are found throughout with multiple grand rooms for entertaining, as well as intimate dining and meeting places.
