IREM NYC names Whelan of REBNY as 2024 Real Estate Person of the Year

Manhattan, NY The Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM NYC) proudly announces James Whelan, president of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), as the recipient of the 2024 Real Estate Person of the Year Award.

IREM NYC’s leadership team selected Whelan because of his significant contributions to the real estate community. Through his leadership at REBNY he’s worked to promote effective public and industry policy, support REBNY members with resources and educational opportunities, and fostered partnerships between industry leaders and other stakeholders. His dedication to elevating the industry through expertise and knowledge in education, ethics, and professional services perfectly aligns with the award’s core values.
