IREM NYC members tour the New York Life Building

Randall Powell, CPM, president of IREM NYC,
addressed the group.

Manhattan, NY Sharon Hart, CPM, senior director, New York Life Investors; Bob Sweeney, senior account director, Cushman & Wakefield and Anthony Greco, chief engineer, Cushman & Wakefield took IREM members on a basement to roof tour of the magnificent New York Life Building. Built in 1928, the building occupies an entire city block. Cass Gilbert, the building’s architect combined Gothic Revival style with Art Deco influences. The

building’s gold dome is now an iconic part of the New York City skyline. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a National Historic Landmark in 1978 and was designated a city landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 2000. It’s a true part of the city’s history and the tour was a unique opportunity for IREM NYC members.

Following the tour, Sullivan Engineering, A Rimkus Company, sponsored a networking cocktail hour.
