Bronx, NY Innovo Property Group’s (IPG) project at 2505 Bruckner Blvd. will receive a Distinguished Award recognition from the American Council of Engineering Companies of New Jersey (ACEC NJ). A 1.07 million s/f multi-story warehouse, the property is regarded as New York City’s most efficient urban industrial facility, providing access to over 9.4 million people in a 15-mile radius.
Langan, a premier provider of integrated land development engineering and environmental consulting services, will also be honored for the firm’s contributions to the project. Langan’s geotechnical, site/civil, traffic, natural resources, and environmental teams provided valuable land development services for this landmark project, working closely with the client and project team to overcome significant foundation, civil design, and permitting challenges. Through this collaboration, the team transformed an old, dilapidated movie theater complex into a logistics facility ready to serve New York City and beyond.
“It is an honor to have 2505 Bruckner Blvd. recognized for its integrity, ingenuity and modern design,” said Andrew Chung, founder and CEO of IPG, a leading New York City-based real estate investment and operating company backed by Nan Fung Group. “This complex is a stand-out urban industrial property specifically designed to service a large population and address the needs of high-profile tenants. Alongside Langan, we are thrilled to celebrate its success.”
Now in its 53rd year, ACEC NJ’s annual Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) competition recognizes and celebrates engineering achievements that demonstrate the highest degree of skill and ingenuity among firms throughout the state. Engineering firms are invited to enter their most innovative projects and studies for review by a distinguished panel of experts.
The 2505 Brucker Blvd. team will attend the celebratory banquet on March 13, 2024, to receive the honor.
