Turino of SL Green reps landlord in 20,987 s/f lease office renewal; Bazar of Cushman & Wakefield reps tenant

According to SL Green Realty Corp., Putney, Twombley, Hall & Hirson LLP, has renewed its 20,987 s/f lease covering the entire 10th floor at 521 Fifth Ave. The building has recently undergone a $15 million redevelopment. Capital improvements included a new lobby, storefronts, elevator cabs, windows, and infrastructure upgrades. "Putney, Twombley, Hall & Hirson has been a tenant at 521 Fifth Ave. for more than 20 years. It's gratifying that a firm with such a prestigious history has elected to reaffirm its commitment to the building," said Steven Durels, executive VP and director of leasing and real property for SL Green. "We are pleased that our headquarters will remain at 521 Fifth Avenue," said Daniel Murphy, managing partner of Putney Twombley. "Our home of so many years where both clients and our employees can easily access us." Melissa Bazar of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant, while SL Green VP David Turino acted in-house on the landlord's behalf. Putney Twombley was represented in-house by Stephen Marci Esq. and Joan Thompson represented the landlord in-house at SL Green.
