Siegelman, Hochhaiser and Fishbein of Winick lease 1,100 s/f
The owners behind popular West Village restaurant Snack Taverna have signed a lease to extend their concept into Hell's Kitchen with a new 1,100 s/f restaurant located at 522 Ninth Ave., on the Southeast corner of West 39th St. "Snack will be a great addition to the neighborhood and bring quality food to this stretch of Ninth Ave.," said Winick Realty Group broker Josh Siegelman, who represented landlord Ninth K Realty LLC.
Winick brokers Kenneth Hochhauser and Aaron Fishbein, who represented the tenant, concurred. "This area of Hell's Kitchen below 42nd Street offers great proximity to hotels, offices, the Port Authority and a dense residential population, not to mention the massive Hudson Yards project that is only seven blocks away," they said.
Architect Glen Coben, who designed such popular New York City restaurants as Carbone and Del Posto, is currently building out the new eatery, which will go by the name Snack Taverna Hell's Kitchen. The new location will serve what the company describes as "soulful Greek food" for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering an exciting new dining experience to the neighborhood.
