Sedghi of Moinian leases 5,000 s/f to Wedding Atelier; Bodden of Sanchez Bodden reps tenant

The Moinian Group has signed a ten-year transaction at its 72 Madison Ave. property in Midtown South, with Wedding Atelier leasing 5,000 s/f for the entire fourth floor. The bridal salon is expected to move into its new space this fall, bringing 72 Madison Ave. to 100% occupancy. Isabelle Sedghi, of The Moinian Group, represented the landlord and Steve Bodden, of Sanchez Bodden Lerner, represented the tenant. The Moinian Group has owned, managed, and leased 72 Madison Ave. for the past 30 years. Wedding Atelier is relocating its executive offices and private showroom from 103 Fifth Ave. This appointment-only salon will showcase couture wedding dresses that Wedding Atelier's owner has hand-selected from top designers around the world. "The new location at 72 Madison Ave. is a perfect fit for this well-known bridal salon," said Sedghi, VP of commercial leasing. "The high ceilings, wood floors, and full-floor identity were a huge plus for them." 72 Madison Ave. is a first-class, loft-style building with full-floor creative spaces, each featuring hardwood floors, high, exposed ceilings, and operable windows to bring in extensive, natural light. The 60,000 s/f building boasts a sleek, newly renovated, 24/7 attended lobby and elevator cabs. Located in the heart of Midtown South, 72 Madison Ave. is one block from Madison Square Park and central to all major transit hubs, including Penn Station and Grand Central Station. Providing one of the most sought-after addresses in the country, Wedding Atelier will join a high-caliber of tenants at this prestigious location, including Avenue Magazine, Monique Lhuillier, Laura Davidson PR, and Moda Operandi.
