REAP appoints Harris and Gilmore as co-directors

The Real Estate Associate Program (REAP) has appointed Kendrick Harris and John Gilmore IV as co-directors for the this year's New York program. The REAP program features a 13-week, 26-class curriculum with complete immersion in real estate concepts and principles. REAP's recruiting process is competitive and selective, attracting professionals seeking to broaden their commercial real estate experience. Class instructors are industry leaders in prominent real estate companies covering topics such as financial analysis, market analysis, brokerage, asset management, leasing, and development. Harris is a real estate attorney with the law firm Bryant Rabbino LLP and holds a master of science degree in Real Estate Development and Finance from Columbia University. A former Air Force Officer and accomplished manager with over 10 years of experience spanning real estate development, public/private project management, business operations and real estate law, he has served in the Office of the Attorney General in both the Real Estate Finance and Securities Bureaus, where he reviewed coop and condo offering plans and assisted in the investigation into mortgage backed securities. In addition, he has served as the Director of Operations for New York City's Department of Housing Preservation's Tax Incentive Programs Unit. Gilmore is a relationship manager within KeyBank Real Estate Capital's Income Property Group. His primary responsibilities include originating, underwriting, and closing commercial real estate loans for investor/owners. Previously, John was portfolio manager in KeyBank's Asset Recovery where he managed a portfolio of non-performing real estate loans. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in Finance with a minor in Economics from Morehouse College where he graduated cum laude. John currently serves on the Board of Directors for Bridge Street Development Corporation and serves as the Secretary for the Morehouse Manhattan Alumni Association. REAP is supported by ICSC, ULI, NAIOP, BOMA and NMHC. The New York program is sponsored by Simon Property Group, Walmart, McDonalds, Starbucks, Sperry Van Ness and Platinum Maintenance.
