NYSCAR Message: Commercial courses being offered on April 2nd - 3rd and April 24th

By John Lavelle The first NYSCAR board meeting for 2014 was held February 9th at the Desmond Hotel in Albany, New York. The meeting was a productive start to begin the year. If you would like to take some commercial courses, please watch for details on the following programs: The Hudson Valley annual education/marketing event will be held in Fishkill at the Hyatt House Hotel, April 2nd - 3rd. Gary Vandenberg, SEC. will present "Wealth Creation Strategy Through Investment Real Estate Ownership." This six-hour course, which has been submitted to NYS Department of State for continuing education credit, will be held on April 2nd and a marketing session will be held on the 3rd. On April 24th NYSCAR and the Syracuse Region Chapter will present "Introduction to Creative Marketing of Commercial Real Estate" at the Ramada Inn on Buckley Rd. The course will be instructed by Robert Giniecki, CCIM, SEC and James Walker. The 13th Annual NYS Commercial Real Estate Conference will be held June 2nd - 4th at Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona. The committee, chaired by Brian DiNardo has been meeting via conference call to plan details for this year's event. Preliminary plans include a full-day marketing session and several commercial classes that will carry continuing education credit. This is a great opportunity to do some business and learn something new. Be sure to mark your calendar! Please watch www.nyscar.org for details. With the Syracuse Region chapter, there are now 7 NYSCAR chapters throughout the state. The Syracuse chapter (Dana Crocker, president) joins Greater Capital (Nick DeMarte, president), Hudson Valley (Jay Feinberg, president), Long Island Metro (Ed Smith, Jr., president), Rochester Area chapter (Mercedes Brien, president), So. Tier (Doug Rein, president) and Western NY (Bob Strell, president). Be sure to check with your local chapter for meetings and events.
