Nordstrom Rack coming to Destiny USA

Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. plans to open a Nordstrom Rack at Destiny USA. The 33,357 s/f store is scheduled to open in fall 2015. Nordstrom Rack is expanding across upstate New York. The company recently revealed new Rack stores opening in Buffalo and Albany in fall 2015. "We have been focused on growing our store presence throughout upstate New York and are excited to bring a Nordstrom Rack closer to home for customers in Syracuse," said Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack. "Destiny USA represents the best of shopping in the area with a terrific mix of retail, entertainment and restaurants and we look forward to serving customers when we open." The new Rack will be located on the first level next to The Cheesecake Factory and across from the Armani Outlet. Other anchors include Lord & Taylor, Macy's and JCPenney along with a great mix of specialty and off-price retailers such as H&M, Saks OFF 5th, T.J.Maxx and DSW among others. "The community has been asking for a Nordstrom Rack for several years and we're proud to say that they will be joining our first level in 2015," said Sara Wallace, director of marketing at Destiny USA. "It's a huge achievement for us and we're thrilled to have them broaden our offering and help fulfill the demand for regional fans of the brand." Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Inc., offering customers a wide selection of on-trend apparel, accessories and shoes at an everyday savings of 30-70 percent off regular prices. The Rack carries merchandise from Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com, as well as specially purchased items from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom. The Rack is designed to provide the ultimate treasure hunt to style-savvy customers.
