Mosler and Mirante of C&W named consultants for Cohen office portfolio

Co-chairman of the board of Cushman & Wakefield, Bruce Mosler and colleague Arthur Mirante, both former CEOs of the company, have been named "strategic real estate consultant" for Charles Cohen's national portfolio of commercial properties, which comprises over 10 million s/f of class A office buildings. Cohen, president and CEO of Cohen Brothers Realty Corp., characterized the "dream team" appointment as an "important strategic alliance" for his firm. "We couldn't be more excited to have the opportunity to work closely with the giants of the brokerage business and an impressive and highly experienced team in New York," he asserted. Mosler has assembled a team of brokerage professionals, which in addition to Mirante, include Edward Weiss and Joseph Cabrera, to handle the exclusive leasing agencies for three of Cohen's office buildings: the 41-story 3 Park Ave., the 31-story 805 Third Ave., the 20-story 3 East 54th St., and 39-story tower at 622 Third Ave., also known as Grand Central Plaza. Cohen Brothers, which manages all of its own properties, also has a large in-house leasing department which handles brokerage transactions for most of its portfolio internally. The Cushman & Wakefield team will also be leveraging its in-house Strategic Agency Services Group, a team dedicated to marketing and leasing premier properties to prospective tenants. "What an honor to kick off what I anticipate will be the most exciting and rewarding chapter of my real estate career by representing an owner/developer with the credentials and financial strength of a Charles Cohen, who continues to build, manage, and add value to one of the most prestigious privately-owned real estate portfolios of its kind in the world," stated Mosler. After a successful five-year stint as Cushman & Wakefield's CEO, Mosler recently returned to his "first love" -- driving new national and global brokerage business to the company, developing major accounts and serving key clients while also carrying out his responsibilities as co-chairman of Cushman & Wakefield's board of directors. Other Manhattan office buildings owned by Cohen are 623 Fifth Ave., 135 East 57th St., 750 Lexington Ave., and 475 Park Ave. South. He is also one of the country's largest owners of Design Centers, which include the D & D Building in New York, the Decorative Center of Houston, the Design Center of the Americas in Florida and the Pacific Design Center in California.
