Hudson Valley Property Group hires
Azizo, Cooper and Marcelin

Manhattan, NY Hudson Valley Property Group (HVPG) has hired Ezra Azizo and Miles Cooper as asset managers and Chuck Marcelin, GPHR, as the firm’s newest director of human resources. All three new hires will be based in HVPG’s New York City headquarters.

As the firm’s new director of human resources, Marcelin will oversee the day-to-day HR processes for the team, including leading recruitment efforts, executing and implementing people & culture strategies, overseeing performance management, training and development, and employee relations. Marcelin joins the firm from Kinly, a financial technology company empowering Black generational wealth, where he previously served as head of talent. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Sacred Heart University and is certified as a Global Professional of Human Resources (GPHR) by the HR Certification Institute.

Both Azizo and Cooper join the firm as asset managers, where they will be responsible for the financial reporting, budget monitoring and operational performance of select assets within the HVPG portfolio and for liaising with investment partners, third-party property management partners and operational and security vendors.

Azizo joins HVPG from real estate investment manager Clarion Partners, where he previously asset managed over 3500 HUD multi-family units. Prior to that, he held a number of roles at Rhodium Capital, a New York-based real estate investment firm. Azizo attended Brooklyn College and City University of New York.

Cooper joins HVPG from Slate Property Group, where he previously oversaw a portfolio of multifamily mixed-use and transitional housing properties in NYC. Prior to Slate, Cooper worked as an asset manager for Akelius Real Estate Management, an international residential real estate company. He has an MS in Real Estate Development from NYU and a BA in Political Science from Wheaton College in Massachusetts.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Chuck, Miles and Ezra to the HVPG team as we continue to expand our mission of improving and preserving affordable housing throughout the U.S.,” said Jason Bordainick, managing partner and co-founder of HVPG. “Each of these individuals is among the best at what they do, and we look forward to working with them to continue to further that mission and elevate our growing investment platform.”
