Hampshire Companies sells 172,041 s/f shopping center

The Hampshire Cos. has sold the Marina Lakes Shopping Center, a 172,041 s/f retail center located at 2021 North Amidon. The sale was made to Hobb Partners, LLC an entity formed by Henzlik-Oliver Real Estate Cos. Tyler Oliver of Henzlik-Oliver Real Estate Cos. represented Hobb Partners. Situated on 13.5 acres, the Marina Lakes Shopping Center is located within a busy retail intersection. Current tenants include Radio Shack, Dollar General and Payless Shoes; however the mainly vacant site will be redeveloped by Hobb Partners to include a Wal-Mart Neighborhood grocery store as an anchor. "The Marina Lakes Shopping Center was an asset that was in need of a major investment and local involvement to oversee its re-development," said Robert Schmitt, a principal of The Hampshire Companies. "The Hampshire Companies was able to identify Henzlik-Oliver Real Estate Companies as an ideal buyer for the property."
