Giscombe Realty Group hires Vasilkioti as a broker

Giscombe Realty Group has appointed Basil Vasilkioti as a commercial real estate broker. Vasilkioti, who has worked at top real estate firms in New York, has a career spanning over 30 years providing strategic services to corporate clients throughout the tri-state area of N.Y., New Jersey and Connecticut. He was a former senior vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle from 2006-2008 and a director at Cushman and Wakefield from 2000 -2006. He also worked in top positions at Grubb & Ellis, The Galbreath Company, Koeppel, Tener and Riguardi and Williams Real Estate. In recent years, as a tenant representative, Vasilkioti completed more than 16 transactions totaling 1.5 million s/f for Mellon Bank. He also secured 670,000 s/f for Morgan Stanley and 390,000 s/f for McGraw-Hill. Other past tenant rep clients include the Government of Sweden, Hypo Bank, James D. Wolfensohn Inc., E. I. DuPont, Visiting Nurse Services, Tokio Fire and Marine Insurance, Standard & Poor's, and Citibank. From 1989 through 1994, Vasilkioti advised and worked together with Chemical Bank of N.Y.C. on a foreclosed property in Paramus, N.J. and helped turn the property around for a successful sale to a foreign investor. Additionally,Vasilkioti acted as an owner's representative for four substantial buildings in Manhattan and in Paramus, N.J.
