Friedman of Adams & Co. handles 2,700 s/f lease to The Laundress

Adams & Co. Real Estate, LLC brokered a five-year, 2,700 s/f lease at 247 West 30th St. for The Laundress, a fabric care and specialty detergent company. The Laundress is a green brand of detergents and fabric care products made with biodegradable, non-toxic plant-based ingredients and original fragrances of Cedar, Baby, Lady and Classic. Co-founders Lindsey Wieber and Gwen Whiting created the clothing care line because they saw a need for high-quality, specialty detergents that can be used on a daily basis at home. The Laundress has been featured on The View and in O Magazine, People, Elle, Redbook and more. Joseph Friedman of Adams & Co. represented the tenant while Philip Katz of Katz Properties represented the landlord. "The Laundress has taken the fashion world and media by storm," said Friedman. "We made sure to find a very central location for the company in the heart of the Fashion District." Completed in 1926, the 16-story office property is located near Penn Station. Notable tenants include Cine Magic International, Il Duomo Antique Reproductions and Rebecca Cole Designs. Adams & Co. Real Estate, LLC is among the top five leasing companies in the city, as measured by total s/f. The full-service real estate firm is responsible for millions of square feet of office space and provides property management, brokerage and consulting services throughout Manhattan by teaming experience with innovation.
