Fetscher of Great American Brokerage completes sale of SD26 restaurant

Paul Fetscher, CCIM, SCLS, president of Great American Brokerage, has completed the sale of Tony May's restaurant SD26. May has been a respected restaurateur on the New York restaurant scene for over 40 years. He was the owner operator of The Rainbow Room followed by Palio, San Domenico on Central Park South, Gemelli at The World Trade Center and most recently SD26 on 26th St. facing Madison Sq. Park. The buyer was John Doherty, the former executive chef of The Waldorf Astoria. Dorherty was number one out of his class at The Culinary Institute of America. He was also the author of The Waldorf Astoria Cookbook. This award-winning restaurant has a 40' bar in the front room and café. There are 20' ceilings in the main dining room. A balcony can hold 120 people for cocktails or 75 guests for full service dining. The lower level wine room also can hold private dining events.
