Don't miss out on great sponsorship opportunities!

The 7th Annual New York State Commercial Real Estate Conference, sponsored by the NYS Commercial Association of REALTORS, the NYS Chapters of CCIM and SIOR and the Society of Exchange Counselors will be held June 16-18 at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, N.Y. We have excellent sponsorship opportunities available for companies who would like to network with commercial brokers and support the conference. There are opportunities available to sponsor specific events and to exhibit. If you would like to take advantage of a sponsorship, please email Ali at [email protected] to receive a brochure with details. This year the golf outing will be held on the exclusive Shenandoah course on June 16. The 1 1/2 day marketing session which has become an outstanding networking event will also begin on the 16th and conclude on the 17th. June 18th will feature six commercial education courses, including a three hour code of ethics course which qualifies for the National Association of Realtors mandatory requirement for code of ethics training. (All Realtors must complete a minimum of 2 1/2 hours of  code of ethics training between January 1, 2005-December 31, 2008 to maintain their membership.) A full schedule will be detailed in the April column. This fall, NYSCAR will bring back by popular demand the "Developing and Syndication...Big Money Real Estate" course, instructed by Chet Allen, CCIM, SEC of California. The two-day course (16 hours C.E.) will be offered at the Holiday Inn (Turf) on Wolf Rd. in Colonie, N.Y. on Monday, October 27 and Tuesday, October 28. Brochures will be included in the upcoming newsletter which is sent to all members. If you would like a copy of the brochure, please e-mail Sherry at [email protected]. The education committee will also be scheduling the two-day  "Counseling for Action" course by Jim Brondino, SEC to be held in Suffern, N.Y. (date, tbd). NYSCAR will be unveiling a new website in the next few months to better meet the needs of the membership. The site will feature a searchable membership directory and broadcast email capability. There will also be on-line registration and payment for education and events; a listing of the board of governors, membership information, forms and links to NYSCAR chapters and other pertinent organizations.
