Conway of Conley wins award from ASID

Karen Conway, a design assistant with commercial real estate firm Conley Associates, recently won the Student Best in Competition Honorable Mention Award for the American Society of Interior Designers' (ASID's) annual Best of Competition. The interior design contest consisted of entries throughout the upstate New York/Canada east region. Conway's "Sustainable Residential Renovation" design was chosen among the hundreds of submissions. The judges stated it was a "nice presentation and awareness of environmental issues" and a "consistent design solution." Conway recently graduated top of her class from Sage College of Albany. The NYU/CE chapter of ASID includes all of NYS (with the exception of Westchester County and New York City). It also includes the provinces of Ontario and Québec in Canada, and is the only international chapter of ASID. There are eight principal areas in the chapter - Albany, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo and Southern Tier in the U.S., and Toronto, Kingston/Ottawa, and Montreal in Ontario and Québec.
