Consolo and Aquino of Douglas Elliman arrange 1,949 s/f jeweler lease

Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph Aquino, executive VP of Douglas Elliman's retail group has leased 1,949 s/f to Paul Morelli, a Philadelphia-based, international society jeweler, at 895 Madison Ave. The jeweler, who has been a presence at Bergdorf Goodman since 1981, will be opening his first N.Y. store. The multi-level space (728 s/f ground level and 1,221 s/f basement) offers 40 ft. of double frontage and faces the two Ralph Lauren mansions. Paul Morelli will be located in the former Galo Shoes store. Consolo and Aquino exclusively represented the landlord and tenant. "Paul Morelli was primed for his own signature store in the city," said Consolo. "And this location is absolutely ideal because it is a destination for the world's most sought after brands." The retail leasing and sales team is recognized for their Madison Ave. expertise and over the years, has brought a host of names to the "Jewel Mile," including Buccellati, Cartier, Graff, Kentshire and Kwiat, among others. Aquino said, "Paul Morelli already has loyal followings around the world. But what truly distinguishes his collections is that they are all handmade in America." In addition to Bergdorf Goodman, there are Paul Morelli shops in many of the world's top stores including Herrod's, Holt Renfrew and Neiman Marcus. The new shop is currently surrounded by such vaunted brands as Tom Ford, Emilio Pucci, Bond No. 9, Celine, Bottega Veneta, Prada and Chloé.
