Herbert Newman & Ptrs. designs West Side Presbyterian Church

The West Side Presbyterian Church, designed by architects Herbert Newman and Partners of New Haven, Connecticut, was awarded a New Jersey Golden Trowel Award for "Best of Municipal/Community" projects by the International Masonry Institute of New Jersey. The New Jersey Golden Trowel Awards honor excellence in masonry design and construction in the state of New Jersey. Herbert Newman was selected to design the full reconstruction of and new additions to the church, which included stabilizing the remaining exterior stone walls, reconstructing and enlarging the main sanctuary building, renovating portions of the adjoining Christian Education Building and adding approximately 10,000 s/f of new space for church programs on the lower level.
