Halstead Management Company tapped to represent Maple Plaza in Central Harlem

Paul Gottsegen, president of Halstead Management Company, LLC, one of New York's most trusted residential property management firms, the form has been engaged by Maple Plaza located at 1919 Madison Ave., a New York City Housing Development Corp. (HDC) cooperative in central Harlem. Maple Plaza's Board sought-out Halstead, recognizing the value, service and experience a professional management company would bring to their cooperative. Located in the Mt. Morris Park section of Harlem, this is the first management change for the 155-unit cooperative in nearly two decades. "We were approached by Maple Plaza's Board who felt strongly about working with an established management company. They had some legitimate concerns about their building operations and we knew our resources, contacts and experiences could have a beneficial impact on the lives of the residents," said Gottsegen. "Our team is already hard at work with the board, considering new improvements to help the building run more efficiently and effectively. We know we are making a difference in this building's future, and are proud to play a role that continues to expand our presence with all kinds of multifamily housing in New York." Halstead Management has built a stellar reputation throughout the city for providing an unparalleled level of service tailored to meet each property's specific needs. Coupled with its deep bench of experienced talent, unrivaled in the business, the firm is committed to a proactive approach to management. It was this standing that led the cooperative to recognize the value of the investment in its management, and bring Halstead on board, knowing that significant benefits would be returned. Located across from the renovated Marcus Garvey Park, and in the desirable Mt. Morris Park community, Maple Plaza is an eight-story, 155-unit cooperative. The 16-year old building offers private storage, common recreation recreation/meeting room, bike storage, parking and a 24-hour concierge.

The death of the generic offering memorandum: What buyers expect in 2025 - by Kimberly Zar Bloorian

There was a time when an offering memorandum (OM) was pretty bare bones, some photos, a few bullet points on income, and a rent roll thrown in at the back. That used to get the job done. Not anymore. In 2025, buyers are sharper, faster, and more selective. They’re looking
