H2M architects + engineers promotes Hearl

Steven Hearl, P.E., LEED AP, CCCA has been promoted to vice president of H2M architects + engineers. His former position was associate, department manager. Hearl's primary focus is on the planning, evaluation and design of wastewater treatment facilities and wastewater collection and conveyance systems. For nearly 30 years, Hearl has been an integral member of the engineering team in H2M's wastewater division. Hearl began his career working for the city of San Diego Water Utilities Department in California but soon brought his talents to New York where he started as a staff engineer at H2M. His extraordinary dedication to his clients and projects has helped him excel at H2M and in the industry. Hearl has recently shown exemplary service on the Town of Babylon's Wyandanch Sewer Project. His innovation and hard work was recently recognized for an award winning pump station / force main project for Nassau County in Locust Valley. Hearl has a BS, Civil and Environmental Engineering and an MS, Civil Engineering, Clarkson University. He is a licensed professional engineer: N.Y., N.J., he is a certified Construction Contract Administrator, CSI and a LEED AP, USGBC. Hearl is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Water Works Association, the Construction Specifications Institute, the Water Environment Federation, Chi Epsilon and Tau Beta Pi. Hearl is a resident of Greenlawn, Long Island, NY and participates in several civic and community organizations on the local level, such as Leadership Huntington.
