Gucciardo looks to list local - sell global in the Capital region
After breaking away from one of Upstate New York's largest residential brokerages to launch his own business, Anthony Gucciardo, a top-selling real estate agent, has set up shop under the name Gucciardo Real Estate Group LLC. The new company established by Gucciardo - who sold 997 homes between 2004 and 2011 - operates by the motto "List Local - Sell Global."
The slogan highlights Gucciardo's real estate philosophy and focus on the Malta/Saratoga market, where Global Foundries plans for mass hiring of international workers from European and Asian countries. The firm has already completed more than 20 closings for international clients. Gucciardo expects the newly operational chip plant to establish a new market for the real estate business as Global Foundries continues to aggressively recruit.
Gucciardo Real Estate Group LLC, which employs a total of nine agents, will now operate at 441 New Karner Rd. in Colonie. The space will provide Gucciardo and his team with a conference room, two offices and a reception area.
"Venturing out on my own will allow me to continue to run my business by providing unprecedented service to each and every one of my clients. I believe in keeping expenses down and feel brokers get into financial trouble by having too much office space. Less is more, especially when I am 90% of my teams business," said Gucciardo.
Between 2004 and 2010, Gucciardo worked for Re/Max Park Place, where each year he was the top-selling agent. In 2004, he became the youngest Re/Max member to receive a Hall of Fame Award. While working for HUNT Real Estate in 2011, Gucciardo and his associates sold 141 homes which accounted for 58 percent of HUNT's residential volume in the region.
"We have a very bright outlook for 2012, and our new location has positioned us for success. We are centrally located and available to our clients throughout the Capital Region," said Gucciardo. "Economic indicators are already pointing to a better year for the real estate industry in the Capital Region and we are excited to begin this new enterprise."
Gucciardo has been recognized by both local and state media publications as: #1 Albany County broker, one of Albany's mightiest brokers and real estates top matchmaker.
Other tenants located at 441 New Karner Rd. include Tully Rinckey PLLC. The building is owned by Christopher Falvey, proprietor of Falvey Real Estate Group.
