Groundbreaking ceremony takes place for new Singapore Mission building - VVA, project manager

VVA Project Managers & Consultants recently participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for a new building out-of-the-ground for Singapore Chancery, the new home of the Permanent Mission of Singapore to the United Nations. The project, located on E. 48th St. near the United Nations, includes new offices, conference and event spaces, and a kitchen. VVA, LLC, one of the leading NY-based project management firms, is providing comprehensive project management services for the project. Bob O'Hea, managing director of VVA and partner-in-charge of the project, said, "By working on this project from its early inception, we will ensure the building meets every need of the Singapore Chancery. It's a real honor to be a part of the groundbreaking and development of a building that will be in use by Singapore's UN delegates for decades to come." O'Hea, and senior project manager, Kim Sampson Curley, attended the groundbreaking with Albert Chua, Singapore's UN ambassador. Other project team members on the Singapore Chancery project include Ray Arnold of VVA; architect, HOK; construction manager, Turner Construction; geotechnical and civil engineer, Langan Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc.; and consulting engineer, AMA Consulting Engineers; as well as Hillman Environmental Group, LLC, Metropolis Group Inc., Municipal Land Survey, RPO, Inc, and Weidlinger Associates, Inc. The building is scheduled to be completed in August 2013. VVA, LLC is a leading independent construction project management firm, headquartered in New York with an office in Washington, D.C. The firm provides project management and consulting to a number of industries, including: law firms, financial services, media & entertainment, hospitality, healthcare, educational, new building development, non-profits, retail, and mission critical facilities.
