Greenberger appointed at New York-Presbyterian

Sharon Greenberger has joined NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital's management team as senior vice president for facilities development and engineering. She was most recently chief operating officer of the New York City Department of Education. "After an extensive nationwide search, I am delighted to welcome Sharon Greenberger. With more than 20 years of urban planning and development, design, construction and operations management experience, she has the requisite skills to ensure that our hospital's facilities continue to meet the needs of patients and their families," said Dr. Steven Corwin, CEO of NewYork-Presbyterian. As chief operating officer for the New York City Department of Education, Greenberger was responsible for coordinating all operations and programs that serve the city's 1.1 million public school children, including 1,700 schools, 135,000 employees and a $24 billion annual budget. "I am thrilled to join the talented NewYork-Presbyterian team to focus on the critical and exciting work of developing and maintaining high-quality, top-notch medical facilities to best serve patients, their families and the community," said Greenberger. Fritz Reuter, the senior vice president, will continue in an advisory capacity.
