Greater New York IREM's holds Annual Golf Outing on June 26th

The Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM)held their Annual Golf Outing on Thursday, June 26th at Harbor Links Country Club. IREM chapter president and golf committee chair Frank Socci, Jr., CPM, presented Christina Forbes, a vice president at FirstService Residential in New York City, with the Ladies Long Drive prize.
Mildred Marshburn, ARM, with Glen Oakes Village Owners, was the winner of the Ladies Low Gross.
The next IREM event will be a monthly luncheon meeting to take place on Wednesday, September 24th at The Union League Club, 38 East 37th St. A cocktail hour will be sponsored by CSI-Construction & Security Installations. The keynote speaker is to be announced. The price is $85 for members and $125 for non-members.
One Monday, November 10th, IREM will host "Ethics for the Real Estate Manager" at Knickerbocker Plaza,1751 Second Ave. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Addressing ethical dilemmas commonly faced by today's real estate managers, this course teaches strategies for resolving ethical dilemmas.

* Applications to real world situations, ethical duties to clients, tenants/residents, employers, and colleagues.
* Ethical decision making: Ethical vs. unethical business practices, tactics for resolving ethical dilemmas, scenarios with ethical implications.
* Conflict of interest: Fiduciary relationships, conflict of interest scenarios.
Detailed case study: Enforcement of the IREM Code of Professional Ethics.
